Description
Produced in very limited quantities from the hills of La Morra, Giarborina Langhe 2018 is a refined and expressive Nebbiolo that reflects both heritage and precision. The wine comes from two distinct parcels, one planted in 1948 and the other in 1989, rooted in clay and sandy soils with south and south-east exposure, giving elegance, freshness, and aromatic clarity.
In the glass, it shows a bright ruby red colour with graceful garnet reflections. The nose is intense and balsamic, opening with aromas of small red fruits, rose petals, and delicate floral notes. On the palate, it is fresh and vibrant, with flavours of raspberry and red berries, fine structure, and beautifully balanced acidity. The finish is persistent and harmonious, showcasing Nebbiolo’s classic finesse rather than power.
Vinified with a short maceration of 3–4 days in temperature-controlled rotary fermenters and aged for 18 months in new French barriques, this wine offers depth without heaviness. An elegant companion to red meats and soft to medium-aged cheeses, it is a distinctive and polished expression of Langhe Nebbiolo.
