Barbaresco D.O.C.G. Riserva Pora 2013

P. Barbaresco Pora is a classic and expressive single-vineyard Barbaresco made from 100% Nebbiolo, grown on the calcareous limestone soils with sandy veins of the renowned Pora vineyard. These soils give the wine both structure and elegance, allowing Nebbiolo to show depth, precision, and aromatic complexity.

The wine displays a deep ruby-red colour with garnet reflections. The nose is intense and layered, offering rich red fruit aromas alongside earthy notes, subtle spice, and floral hints typical of Nebbiolo. On the palate, the 2013 vintage delivers full-bodied richness, with broad, concentrated fruit, ripe and powerful tannins, and a long, persistent finish. Despite its strength, the wine remains balanced and refined, with early-maturing tannins that promise both approachability and longevity.

Fermented at controlled temperatures with extended skin contact, followed by malolactic fermentation, the wine is aged for 36 months in large oak barrels and a further 12 months in bottle, enhancing complexity and harmony. An excellent partner for fresh egg pasta, risotto, white and red meats, game, venison, and aged cheeses, this Barbaresco is a superb expression of both vintage and terroir.
