Description
Semeli Estate “Thea” Mantinia is a distinctive and expressive wine crafted from a single 25-year-old vineyard in the heart of the Mantinia appellation, planted at an altitude of 650 metres. Careful fermentation in vats followed by five months of ageing on fine lees adds depth, texture, and complexity while preserving freshness.
In the glass, it shows a straw colour with soft golden hues. The nose is complex and layered, revealing aromas of fresh herbs, ripe and dried exotic fruits such as papaya, mango, and yuzu, alongside subtle green fruit notes. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied yet vibrant, with crisp freshness balancing its richness. Flavours of bergamot, citron, and yuzu dominate, finishing with a delicate hint of sweetness that adds elegance and length.
Exceptionally versatile at the table, this wine pairs beautifully with both fish and meat dishes, cold cuts, and rich, creamy cheeses. It is an excellent match for veal, pork tenderloin, poultry, creamy risottos, vegetable or saffron pasta, spaghetti carbonara, braised kid goat in lemon sauce, and beef fricassee.
