Barbaresco D.O.C.G. Riserva Montefico 2013

Barbaresco Riserva Montefico is a classic and tightly structured expression of Nebbiolo from the esteemed Montefico vineyard. The limestone and clay soils, rich in calcium with sandy veins, give the wine its characteristic precision, minerality, and depth.

Shows a medium-bodied profile with intense aromas of spicy red fruit, dried rose petals, and subtle earthy nuances. On the palate, it is focused and powerful, with tight, well-defined tannins, vibrant acidity, and a long, persistent finish that highlights both structure and elegance.

Vinified with extended skin contact and carefully completed malolactic fermentation, the wine is aged for 36 months in large oak barrels followed by 6 months in bottle, allowing complexity and harmony to develop. An excellent partner for fresh pasta, meat dishes—especially lamb and feathered game—and mild cheeses, this Riserva offers both immediate appeal and strong ageing potential.
