Description
Located on the edge of the village of Lalande-de-Pomerol, Château Perron is one of the appellation’s oldest estates, with a history dating back to 1647. Owned by the Massonie family for three generations, the property was long guided by the respected Michel Massonie, whose dedication helped shape its reputation for elegance and authenticity.
The 2022 vintage displays a deep garnet-red colour with rich purple highlights. The nose is expressive and layered, offering ripe red fruit aromas complemented by notes of cinnamon, coffee, and liquorice, revealing fine complexity typical of top Lalande-de-Pomerol wines. On the palate, it is harmonious and supple, with a rounded texture and silky, velvety tannins that carry the wine gracefully to a refined finish.
Subtle, polished, and full of finesse, this is a beautifully balanced wine from an excellent vintage. It is enjoyable now but will continue to gain depth and complexity with a few years of bottle ageing, offering a drinking window of approximately 5 to 10 years.
