Martin Ray, Angeline Chardonnay 2023

A fresh and rounded Californian Chardonnay with expressive aromas of ripe pineapple, kumquat and lemon zest, complemented by delicate notes of Golden Delicious apple.

The palate is smooth and generous, balanced by bright, refreshing acidity that keeps the wine lively and elegant. Subtle oak influence adds texture without overpowering the fruit, while a gentle almond note brings depth to the clean, lingering finish.

Made from 100% Chardonnay, the wine was aged on its lees for six months, with 25% matured in new French and American oak barrels, creating an appealing balance of freshness, fruit and creamy complexity.

Food pairing: Excellent with seafood, grilled prawns, fresh pasta, roast chicken, creamy dishes and salty appetisers.
