Zena Crown, Pinot Noir ‘Vista’ 2015

An elegant and expressive single-vineyard Pinot Noir from the Eola-Amity Hills in Oregon’s Willamette Valley. Sourced from the highest elevations of the Zena Crown Vineyard, it opens with aromas of blackberry, wild strawberry and citrus, complemented by white pepper, clover blossom and subtle earthy notes.

Juicy and layered on the palate, the wine evolves from bright red fruit towards darker, more savoury flavours. Nuances of persimmon, milk chocolate, cedar, pipe tobacco and spice bring complexity, while lively acidity and a persistent finish provide freshness and refinement.

A distinctive Oregon Pinot Noir combining ripe fruit, earthy depth and the finesse associated with elevated, cool-climate vineyards. Decanting for approximately two hours is recommended.

Food pairing: Excellent with roast duck, grilled pork, mushroom risotto, game birds, herb-roasted chicken and mature soft cheeses.
